How to use the Nexcess Page Cache

for Managed WordPress and WooCommerce Sites

The Nexcess page cache provides a number of settings that will allow you to make it work correctly for your site.

In the settings, you can set if you want the cache to be automatically cleared if any post type is published, updated, or trashed. The same option is possible to clear the cache if a plugin is activated or deactivated on the site.

You can exclude the cache by post ID, to find the ID of a post or page you can either install a plugin like Show Pages IDs, or when you go to edit that post or page look for the ID in the URL link from your browser.

In this example, we are going to exclude the dashboard page from being excluded from being cached in the Nexcess page cache settings. The ID in the page list shows as being 84 and then that ID is going to be added into the Nexcess page cache settings in the cache exclusion settings.

Other ways to excludes content from being excluded from being cached is from page paths query string and cookies. Once you have added all of the settings you want to use for your site in the Nexcess page cache you will need to click on the Save Changes and Clear Site Cache button.

It is also possible to clear the Nexcess page cache from the admin bar of the site you will need to click on the Clear Site Cache button.
