How to create affiliate links, view referrals, and review credits

    How to use affiliate links to generate commissions for your Nexcess service whenever visitors to your site follow those links. 

    What you need

    • Your Client Portal username and password. If you cannot find this information, click Forget password? on the Client Portal login page, or contact the Nexcess Support Team.
    • You must be a member of our Affiliates Program. For details, refer to our website or contact our sales team during between 9 a.m. – 5 a.m., Monday–Friday.

    Creating affiliate links

    You are welcome to create a link to the Nexcess home page or any other part of the Nexcess website. When a referral follows one of these links, it creates a cookie with a 30-day expiration period. If that referral places a qualified order on our website within those 30 days, we will process the commission to your account.

    Cookies are specific to the browser that created them. Therefore, if a referral orders from a browser that did not create the cookie, we cannot process the commission.

    1. Log in to the Client Portal.

    2. From the dashboard, click Affiliate > Links.
    3. Click Add Link.
    4. Complete the Name and TargetURL fields, then click Add.
      1. The Name represents your name for the link. It will only be visible to you.

      2. Target URL represents the web address used in the link.

      3. In the Status field, select either Active or Inactive. The link will only be usable if you select Active.

    5. If your new Affiliate entry does not appear, refresh the page. Once it appears, choose that menu toggle corresponding to that entry, then click View. Note this toggle also allows you to Edit and Delete your entries.
    6. Find the desired banner, then click Copy to copy the HTML for inclusion into your site.

    Viewing referrals

    1. Log in to the Client Portal.

    2. From the dashboard, click Affiliate > Referrals.
    3. View your information as necessary.

    Viewing credits

    1. Log in to the Client Portal.

    2. From the dashboard, click Affiliate > Credits.
    3. You may now view the service description that generated the commission, the date of credit, and other information relating to each credit on your account.
