How to enable Asia Pacific CDNs in the Client Portal

    October 7, 2019

How to enable the Asia Pacific CDN region for your Nexcess CDN service and how to avoid potential overage fees.

    What you need

    • You must have already an active CDN service with us in order to enable an Asia Pacific CDN. To order this service or make inquiries, contact our 24/7 support team.

    • Your Client Portal username and password. These were originally provided in the Nexcess Welcome Email, though you may have since changed them. If you cannot locate this information, click  Forgot Password? on the Client Portal login page or contact our 24/7 support team.

    Potential overage fees

The below procedure will enable an Asia Pacific CDN, but without a bandwidth add-on. Unless you order additional bandwidth, you will pay the overage rate of $0.45 per GB.

You may order Asia Pacific bandwidth at the rate of $40 for 100GB, or $100 for 250 GB. If you surpass these amounts, the same overage rate applies. To order Asia Pacific bandwidth, contact our sales team between 9 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday–Friday.

    1. Log in to the Client Portal. From the dashboard, select Services > Other.

    2. Locate the relevant CDN service, then click the menu toggle, followed by View.
    3. Near the top, click Enable APAC CDN.
    4. Click Confirm.

For 24-hour assistance any day of the year, contact our support team by email or through your Client Portal.
